Verify the platform and phone record
Confirm the complete hostname before entering account details. Check the masked mobile number, country code and verification purpose shown by the platform. A code sent to an old or differently formatted number will not reach the intended device.
Check the SMS delivery path
- Review spam, blocked and unknown-sender folders
- Confirm signal and reception of unrelated SMS messages
- Temporarily review third-party message filters
- Restart the device or toggle airplane mode once
- Check whether a recent SIM or number change affects delivery
Avoid repeated rapid requests
A later request can invalidate an earlier code, and platforms can limit repeated attempts. Wait for the current request, then make one controlled retry if the verified interface permits it. Record the request time and exact error wording.
Keep the code out of support messages
Support may need an account identifier, masked phone number, timestamp, device model and carrier, but not the OTP itself. Never provide a password or complete payment credential. Current account access must be resolved through the verified platform.
